I love your sense of humor but I am most impressed how you use everyday stuff to create. Kudos!!! You are a true Renaissance Man!

Mr. Know-how, You do realize that theft of shopping carts and defacing them in this rather strange way is a federal offence along the lines of defacing American currency and particularily, pilfered American currency, punishable by enforced imprisonment in the produce section of your local Safeway, with the additional penalty of indentured boxboyism until your natural life is over. Why don't you go the straight and narrow and just fix the goddam carts that have the spastic wheels, you could be a rich, solid citizen of our good old uSA like all the rest of the fruits and nuts living in California. Didn't Reagan, Nixon, have any sway over your wayward dare I say liberal demeanor by cracking Jokes about the war. Listen here buddy and listen up good, we hosed subversives like you in Berkeley for a whole lot less. This revolution you are formenting of actually using and recycling things is abhorent to the society at large as jobs will be lost if we don't throw everything into the dump. Bums and homeless people have to do these things, but, it is obvious by your collection of power tools rivaling Tim the toolman from home improvemnt. This puts you in a class above bums, homeless, Mexicans, Blacks, Indians, Native Americans, Chinese, and whatever element of the melting pot left save caucasians, at least to the level of white trash or if that is a mobile home you occupy trailer trash. This country is going to hell in a handbasket and your stealing and defacing private property in a bunko scam as yet unknown to us at the department, grocery cart chop shop. And undermining stock holders profits at Safeway in the process. This do-it-yourself nonsense must stop and my partner and I are just the guys to do it. So, I have radioed in a 1026 in progress and we will be there shortly. Nobody likes a smart alec, the next thing you'll try like this will be your last, Sgt. Joe Friday, badge 714 LAPD Bunko division Det. Gannon, sidekick and nodding yes man, LAPD /ret. mil. Colonel M*A*S*H unit Seoul, S. korea, US ARMY

Oh come on people! True, it is not a project for everyone, but not every project is. The video is funny and entertaining (as it is meant to be, no doubt), and provides enough instruction for any intelligent person to follow. Snaps for Tim!!

Spent about 20 minutes on this and couldn't get the video to play beyond 1.25 minutes. Not worth the trouble.

What a great idea for the homeless handicapped! This video should be sent to the San Francisco do-gooders who wanted every homeless person to have a FREE shopping cart. Maybe a project for the boy scouts!

cretive but ugly and seems so much hard work for a very little result. I've seen much more "buildable" projects with wood : less difficult, less ugly. For the moment no project I would even try to readapt or use in some parts. I'm disapointed but let's see the next one !

That cart was an abandoned wreckc. No stealing was done. See the instructable for more details http://www.instructables.com/id/SCUDNJQF0LKLKD2/#CEDTMAAF18DW8YX

Anyone who can afford all those tools can afford a chair. How about something useful?

This is ridiculous AND illegal. Where would a person get a shopping cart except to steal one? How can you advocate an illegal action? If you are going to have this type of material on this site, I want to opt out!

Very creative! BUT, I can see that you barely fit in the seating area (you are slim), how can we, more ample persons, be able to squeeze in there?

It looks like a lot of work for a finished product that would look nice in the city dump.

I think I'd rather just poke around the trash for a real chair. I guess if the homeless are redecorating....
