The picture color is off, but the background is dark brown. The pattern repeat is 12" in this fabric (tip of corn to tip of corn). If I cut every 12" and stack four identical layers, the pattern should be roughly the same on each piece. I wanted more blocks, so I used layers that were 36" long by the entire width of the fabric. I put pins through exactly the same spot on all layers to make sure the pattern was exact on all four layers before cutting.
