This is Jane A. Stickle's original quilt, made in 1863 during the Civil war. It has 225 patterns in the form of blocks, with triangles, and four unique corner pieces for the border. There are over 5,000 individual pieces in Jane's original quilt. Brenda Papadakis adapted a pattern for this magnificent, challenging quilt and called her book, "Dear Jane." The following is my Dear Jane journey.

  • Hello mustbecyn and your My Dear Jane Journey-- I have been piecing quilts for many many years and I have always worked, I never knew about the Dear Jane, just discovered. Of course, I want to start mine!!!! Do you have any suggestions for someone who has NOT even see the book yet? Congratulations and great job. Wish I could see it in person.
