Album Info:
This is the very first project that Anne has sewn on a treadle. She thinks big. It began as a demonstration project at the Dodge County, WI Old Time Gathering in September 2008. After the gathering ended, she decided to keep going and it grew larger than a Queen size bed. It features Kansas Dugout blocks in the center and Log Cabin blocks as the border. Anne reports that by the completion of the quilt that she had thoroughly bonded with her 1920's era Pritzlaff Rotary treadle produced by National Sewing Machine Company. By that time, it seemed only fitting to quilt the top with the treadle also. A demonstration project? She showed 'em!
