Album Info:
Jennifer explains that this quilt is one of those that took forever to finish. The top was made as a class sample four or five years back and she began quilting it in spring 2009. It is Jennifer's interpretation of an antique quilt that was on a book cover in a shop where she worked. Despite many frustrations and distractions over the years, she estimates that she stitched four to five thousand metres of thread into it. It was pieced with a 1910 Willcox & Gibbs High Speed industrial lockstitch machine and free-motion quilted with: a 1904 Singer 27, a 1942 Singer 15-96, and a 1915 Singer 115. An absolutely stunning reward for all of her work.
