    • Great shot, I have hummingbirds visiting my yard and I sat out in my back yard trying to capture a shot of one of them. None of them have turned out. Nice job

    • Hi Sam. Thanks for taking the time to leave such nice compliments on my CC entries. It feels so good to hear from you, my friend. I'm planning on going on a little hummer hunting these days, camera in hand, because those amazing creatures are also one of my favorite subjects. I love taking shots of birds, but hummers and woodpeckers top my list. I wish I could make a frontal capture like this one someday. It's just AMAZING!! Have a wonderful weekend. Your friend Jorge

    • SAM... first of all, thanks for your comments...i have 2/3 more pictures than i show this year... one crane was posing for me... hummingbirds i can whistle to them and they come... all my pictures are from the wild... no feeders close by...just lucky to have a Rotary Garden, Janesville,wi. close by... you can get within 3 feet of the hummingbirds...just don't have anything blocking their view...it has to be done in the open...

    • SAM...great picture of the Ruby hummingbird. You are probably using a flash... otherwise, there's no way you can stop the wings... i heard that two flash units are better...for me... i call them... and they come and they stop... next time... call twice... feeee feeee ... if you call them only once... they will fly away... that's i got within a yard and got great feather detail without a flash... twozero20
