Brett Clouthier Home 06/07

When Brett Clouthier signed I did wonder. After bizarrely getting cut from Sheffield at around about the same time as our enforcer Robin Gomez left for pastures new (git), it seemed Manchester would be the obvious option. I was already fairly convinced with his playing ability - he had scored against Manchester for Sheffield - and I was more than convinced with his fighting ability - he had destroyed everyone in the league, including Robin Gomez. What I didn't expect to see was how much bloody brilliant he is. An amazing player to watch in arguably the first opportunity he has been given to really play. An incredibly gritty hardworking player with a surprisingly high ability of puck handling I was so happy to see him sign again this year. In his first stint with the Phoenix, he tallied 20 points (including the assist on the first Phoenix goal at the ice dome, in this jersey) in 23 games with a very impressive 105 minutes in penalties.
