  • The sewing studio is about 25' by 15'. When we designed this house we made sure I would have plenty of room. That was before I bought my A1! The A1 is in a room over a 3 car garage. This space my A1 is in is about 11' by 18'. I work from the front of the machine where the ceiling is the highest and have about 3' to 4' between the machine and the cabinets in that room. My table is 12' long so I have about 3' on either end to move around. I can work from the back if need be, but I am short (5'4") so I fit in the space. It would be neat to have all my stuff in one room but I would have to take over half of the downstairs! Since I only quilt for myself, I am not spending huge amounts of time on the A1 and this works out just fine.

  • Do you have this room and a separate room for your quilting machine? How large are the rooms? I'd really like to know the dimensions because we are adding on a new sewing room and I'm getting Ideas! :) And how in the world do you work around those sloping ceilings in the quilting room? I have the same problem where my HQ16 is set up and I have to keep it way out in the room.
