When the milkweed plants are just coming out, and long before they flower, people like to pick the young plants. The young greens taste pretty good, if you drop them into boiling water, simmer for a few minutes, then drain them. Melt some butter with a little bit of salt, add the greens, stir to mix and voila, they are ready to serve! Yummie!
