To get the carpet under the slide: Remove the existing slideout carpet and then remove the existing bull nose. Cut the old carpet under the slide on an angle as far back as you can and pull out as much carpet as you can. When you install the new carpet on the fixed section (not the slideout) run a nail tack strip as close as you can to the slideout, cut the carpet about 2 inches longer than the the tack strip and tuck under slideout.
