Album Info:

Shellie's business partner's son asked Shellie to make a quilt for donation as a dear friend of his had been diagnosed with terminal cancer. As Shellie's family has a long history with the disease, she enthusiastically volunteered her servies. Shellie used a very interesting combination of treadles to create this very special quilt. It was pieced on an 1883 Wheeler & Wilson No. 8, assembled on a 1912 Singer 66-1, and quilted on a 1904 Singer 27-4. Shellie says it sold at auction for an embarrassing amount of money to a group of quilters who promptly donated it to their church. He hears that the pastor thinks that it is wonderful that the quilt was made with machines older than his church. Bless you, Shellie, for your kind and generous heart!
