This cake was for another friend's daughter who is turning 1. It is another one of the one's that match the napkin, I have seen several versions out there but I was kind of proud of this one and wanted to share what I learned how to do. I may be behind the rest of the pack on figuring this out but for the gingham leaves and wings rather than draw the gingham onto the fondant I went onto a website for fabric swatches and printed a small sample onto a frosting sheet. I then dampened a piece of fondant similar in size. I stuck the "gingham" patch onto the fondant and cut both out with my cutters. Worked great!!! Here is a pic of the whole cake with the napkin. And then a close up of the wings that I am talking about.
