Album Info:

Esther really had her work cut out for her in putting together her daughter's wedding ensemble. She made tweny-one garments for the wedding party and a number of flags that were used as guest books. The design for Esther's dress was from a 1950 Advance pattern that she found in an antique store. The only thing she did not make in this shot are her husband's pants and their shoes! She used an assortment of treadles relying mainly upon her circa Singer 31-15. For backup and buttonholes, she used her Singer 115. Her Singer 24 and her Willcox & Gibbs chainstitchers were essential to the fitting and design stages. And when it came to the belt on a yellow dress, only her circa 1880's Davis VF could pull off the job.
