Album Info:
(DSC05379) Tulyapis Christmas Tree: The items most damaged by the recent calamities (typhoons & floods) are plants, particularly rice plants. In Nueva Ecija (province) alone thousands of hectares of newly planted palay (young rice plants) were under water for weeks resulting into "tulyapis" or dead rice plant. Most of the hulls are empty and does not contain rice. All the ornaments and accessories were recycled damaged materials and from fallen trees or branches such as young fruits of kaimito (star apple), chico, atis (sugar apple), guyabano (soursop), guava, ipil ipil, and coconut shoots and fruits. (Taken from the tree's signage)
