One of the design choices made for Ultimate Cap that I liked better than the traditional design was the trade-in of the swashbuckler look for a more military one. Nowhere is this more evident than with the boots and gloves. Because I would need to grind away the molded boot and glove cuffs, I filled the relevant parts with MS before gluing them together so that I would not have voids after removing the excess. Once they cured, I used my rotary tool to grind down the boots and gloves. I assembled and seamed everything except for the head, which I left as a sub-assembly for now in order to make the next step easier.
