    • Thanks so much for all your help Sandidix. Last Thursday, I bought some scrap glass, copper foil and solder so I'm keen to have a go.

    • When you lay your solder do not use flux.

    • Hi Sandidix, Firstly, thankyou so much for posting an answer. I really appreciate it.Can I be so bold as to ask you to share with me how you do free form 'joining' solder bits? e.g. In the upper left corner, you have joined the purple moon face to the rest of the pieces with long lines of solder. Please tell me how you do this. Thanks.

    • No there isn't any glass behind it..just foiled & soldered. I do use silicone glue around all the edges to keep the glass in place. If you notice, the top pieces don't have as much solid glass as the bottom pieces. I changed & added more glass for strength. it hangs outside going on 2 years without problems.

    • Hi Sandidix, I am absolutely in love with this window you have created. I would love to make something similar but don't know where to start. I can see that the pieces are copper foiled but is this strong enough to hold it in the frame? Is there glass behind it? Are the pieces then glued to the glass? Please forgive me for all the questions, but I would really love to have a go at something like this. Any information that you could share with me would be really appreciated. Thanks.
