Album Info:

This clever wall hanging was made by Donna to illustrate a true family story involving Donna's mother, a cow, and an outhouse in Lynx, OH in 1953. First, Donna painted the center picture with fabric dyes then she used free motion embroidery on her Singer 15-88. She used a darning foot and hoop. The outhouse, cow, grass, and shadows are stitched. Quilting was done with GI Elvis, Donna's German Singer 216 G treadle. The shadow quilted border reads, Daddy comforted them with a gentle voice, Cows don't eat people.
