Album Info:

I rolled out a very thin sheet of MS and applied it to the figure in blended patches, pressing it into the muscle contours, following the borders that I had drawn in (first in pencil, then with a superfine Sharpie pen); I concentrated mostly on his back, shoulders, and arms for now, being careful to avoid the shoulder patch areas. After the MS had set up for about an hour, I carefully reapplied the mesh to Cap’s torso and pressed it into the hardening MS; I removed it even more carefully. After smoothing the area in the appropriate directions with a wet finger, the result is a very convincing simulation of scale mail. I let that application fully cure, and then basically repeated the process for the chest area. Once that was cured, I attached Cap’s head and seamed the neck. Then I used some CA to affix clear beading cord to the drawn patterns to simulate the piping all over the costume, including the gloves and boots.
