You cannot beat English liquorice. Dutch liquorice is a a good runner-up, but our market has been flooded by Japanese Haribo Pontefract Cakes which taste like black cardboard!

I don't eat candy at all, except for an occasional piece of chocolate, although I've heard that licorice is medicinally beneficial to one's health.
