This is the Battery with the Charge Controller next to it. The Charge Controler keeps the Battery from being overcharged. The Relay in the upper right corner switches the positive terminal of the Battery from the LED Lights to the Charge Controler when the Solar Panel powers up each morning, the LED Lights turn off and the Battery is recharged. When the Solar Panel powers down each evening the Relay disconnects the Battery from the Charge Controller and switches it back to the LED lights which then come back on.
