these are the tools I use during this part of the tutorial a scalpel (craftknife) a large darning needle set in clay to a depth of 1/2 inch pertruding, a number 0 soft taper tipped rubber clay shaper, an angled chisel 0 soft clay shaper and also later on in the tutorial I will also use a fine normal sewing needle also set in a clay handle. Setting the needles isnt compulasory but it does help with control and grip when working.
