Dorothy in Oz -- Place Mats for Trudy

Album Info:
These exquisitely pieced and quilted place mats were made by Dorothy for her niece Trudy on her engagement. This is the closest quilting that Dorothy says she has ever done as each mat took two hours to quilt. She used the sketch-stitchy applique technique with the applique being ironed on before being sewn through the layers with her 1985 Pfaff in a treadle. Bravo!
