Album Info:

Trillium erectum, also known as Wake-robin, red trillium, purple trillium, Beth root or Stinking Benjamin, is a spring-flowering perennial plant native to the east and north-eastern areas of North America. The flowers are a deep red colour, and the plant takes its name Wake-robin by analogy with the Robin, which has a red breast that heralds spring. ~Wiki

    • Quite unknow to me, but how beautiful! The dark red of flowers and the different tones of green on the leaves are stunning and very elegant. Thanks for the very interesting explanations!

    • "Trillium" is an intriguing name that had been known to me only in literature and legend until I saw my first one in northern Michigan one April, when very little else was blooming even in gardens. The distinctive color of this variety must be quite appealing when one comes across it in the woods! Another very appropriate choice for the spring transition theme!

    • They're lovely, although judging by the name they don't smell so good. Nice lighting, too. I planted white trillium last fall, but nothing has come up yet.
