Thanks for the info, Sam. I will get another type of wisteria. The one I have now is the Japanese Wisteria. First time, I'm seeing this wisteria not grown with an arbor. I wonder if it will bloom more without any form of support. Lovely shade of blue and it also looks like ...what the S.E. Asian countries call it - 'Cow Pea' flower.

Gorgeous blue blossoms! I wish that I could smell their beautiful perfume. Working in laboratories has destroyed my sense of smell, so I just have to imagine.

Another beauty! Your lovely portrayal of wisteria provides splendid color contrast! (With the wisteria, we have one of the ultimate adapters; I've seen it flourish -- and spread its tendrils -- from Scotland to the Gulf Coast. I love the scent as well as the visually delicate yet indomitable flowers.)

The color is beautiful. We have one planted on our pergola but has not flowered yet. How long (many years) does it take ? I hope ours will be as wonderful as this one. Joan
