No reason to rush this. I'm careful enough with this, that I usually get the frets out without changing the shape of them. Some guys start prying with a lot of force, once they get the fret out just a little. I gently work it out a little at a time. That's a large soldering iron and flush ground mini nippers I'm using. Heating the frets makes them come out easier.
