Album Info:

This was a country heart shelf that I lopped off the heart part, turned it upside down, and painted/grunged it. Now, it's my "free" bowl rack that I needed for my little bowls:)

    • I spray painted the shelf with flat black (cheap Wal-Mart brand). Then, I rubbed a candle all over it and then painted yellow ochre color on top. I then sanded it to reveal the black underneath. I also made up a mixture of Johnson's paste wax and a little bit of black craft paint and rubbed it all over it.

    • Fantastic job! If only I had a fraction of your vision and creativity. From now on when I go garage saling or to the local thrift shop I am going to start chanting.."what would Barb do?" :-)

    • This is the kind of "thinking" that happens when there is no extra money to spare to buy one--ha ha. I usually end up destroying one thing to make another:()
