Album Info:

Cheryl began this king size quilt a few years back using her 20-year-old electric Bernina 1230. It was quilted this year on her 1950's Baer & Rempel Phoenix 249 treadle. This quilt is based on a traditional quilt block pattern linked to the Maryland Civil War Patriot, Dame Barbara Fritchie, of Frederick. As a native of Maryland, Cheryl wanted to make a scrappy rendition of this quilt using colors and fabrics that lent a Civil War era feel to the quilt. What a striking stash-buster!
