Album Info:
To prevent water loss when trailer is in motion, ie mountains. Loop water/air line from top of tank/overflow barb down and around, then up toward the front of the tank. There is nothing in the line to prevent overflow water from venting, it would be a good idea to have water vent when filling to insure filter is kept free of dust and "things". The higher the loop on the end the better, if possible run up into an interior cab or behind the carpet, just make sure to return the end to the vent connection at the filler. The vent is a good indicator of overfilling of the tank and some what of a safety relief if your not paying attention? This an old idea, elevate, elevate, done my way.....DO NOT RESTRICT THE VENT! DO not insert corks or any type of plug into the vent, better to loose some water than to have your tank blow a seam and leak silently into your hidden areas of carpet. Any flexing of the tank can cause an edge to start cracking and leak, be it from pressure or vacumn. Most likely the hoses will come off because of excess pressure. The tank wil turn into a ballon and split at something less than 5 psi. At 5psi the expanding pressure on a 16 gallon tank is about 2000lbs, enough to rip the seat loose from the floor.
