Album Info:

this kimono type used 21 yds of fabric, including the belt. it weighed in at about 10lbs or 3 kg if that works better for you. if i'd checked this into my suitcase the excess luggage charge would of been around $180. now you see why i wore home so much fabric. oddly enough it was rather comfortable to wear too. when i got home and it came time to unpick all the tacking stitches and take it apart i was rather sad to do it. it looked so good as it was and now its all just folded pieces of fabric which i cant bring myself to cut and sew into something else....yet. one day maybe i'll get brave enough to do it. i'm glad i've got pix of this to remember that trip by tho.

  • WOW there, 21 lbs for a jacket? YIKES, but very very interesting. Did you make it? And I that that or very similar fabric to the green with red/orange flowers. But where's your head? LOL!
