My block for Shannon's piece in the Open Theme RR -- the basic shape of the pumpkin is from Out on the Porch's "Hey Diddle Diddle" from the 10/03 JCS, but I didn't want to use the overdyes (both for washability reasons and because the look would have been more plain/primitive than the other pumpkins in the row). So I decided to play around with color blends and texture, and this is the result :) Stitched with DMC (both regular and one Variations shade). It's hard to tell, but I used a herringbone stitch for some of the vertical stripes. Completed 2/9/2009.
