Album Info:

Norma says that some Onions may recognize this pattern as being very similar to that used in the 2010 German Sewing Machine TOBE. Her Vesta was not up to it but her Singers, a 1934 15-88 treadle for piecing and her circa 1960 401 electric for the quilting, were. This, coupled with the outstanding performance of the Canadian Olympic teams comprised of athletes from sea to sea, inspired her to pull out her over-sized and varied red stash and plunge ahead. The red and white theme reflects the colours of the Canadian flag and the gold represents the medals which are the most ever won in a single Olympic games by Norma's native country. O Canada!
