arachnesobsession (Premium member) > albums > 2007 Year's End Celebration of Sewi...
Album Info:
Tina made this five by seven feet replica of the famous flag now at the Smithsonian that inspired Key to write The Star Spangled Banner with Baron von Redeye (The Red Baron), her 1922 Singer 66 treadle. Tina sewed this fla to display on special days as a sign of hope. The original flag commission by General George Armistead was thirty by forty-two feet and had fifteen stars and fifteen stripes. It was the last flag of the USA to contain both stars and stripes to represent each state. This project is a real inspiration to each American, Tina.
