Whether working from the left or right, you will follow this same quilting path starting at the bottom of the fans. Here I am working from the left, and have my quilt loaded upside down to start at the bottom. If you prefer to work from the right, the fans would appear to be "upside down", and you would be starting at the top of your quilt. Either way, follow the same path shown in these pics. The blue line represents the edge of a quilt top.
