Album Info:

(DSC03699) I chanced upon a boy who took fancy of me (he really stared at me!) while I was crouching to take photos of the dandelion flower and seeds along the sidewalk. So I struck a conversation with him by telling him I was taking flower photos for an album in the Internet. Immediately he insisted the dandelion was just a weed - not a flower. I guess he meant the flower wasn't worth taking a picture. But then I told him that the wilder the flower, the better to take its photo because its Gardener is God. No one tends to it but Him using His tools - rain, wind, sunlight & fresh air. He liked the thought since I managed to elicit a smile in his face. And for a good 20 minutes, he pointed out to me & named plants & flowers which I eagerly took photos of. In that brief time it seemed like he was my mentor, & I his student. We sure had a really nice time together - with him identifying plants while I was taking photos as he pointed them out to me. I complimented him for his knowledge of plants, and thought that he might make a great botanist someday, & explained to him that it means "a plant lover". :-) He made me a tiny boat out of a grass leaf. (See next page.) I was deeply touched by his kindness & thanked him. Unfortunately, I had nothing with me to give him in exchange, so I simply told him that the Lord will wonderfully bless him. As we parted ways, I breathed a silent prayer to our Father in Heaven to look after & protect my little friend, his family & his future.
