Album Info:

I bought this in 2003 before I went on my vacation down under. I believe it cost around $80 at the time. It is in Oak, to match my Reeves wheels, and holds 6 bobbins. The tall bobbin in front is a Woolee Winder bobbin for the Ashford Joy. The rest of the bobbins are WW bobbins for my Reeves. As you can see, there is plenty of room for the largest bobbins, and the spindles are plenty long enough for taller bobbins. The singles from each bobbin is fed thru a hole in the center, then up thru the top to your hand. I didnt get a very good shot of the hook, but it's sitting, handle down, in the center and you can just barely see the tip of the hook right at the edge of the sheepskin (brown thing on the back of the blue chair). Oh, while this is a tensioned kate, I hardly ever use the tension cord. Since the bobbins sit on end and are pretty heavy, I find I don't need more tension.
