Album Info:

"Aposya" is a name patented by Twyford Farms for this primary or secondary cross of Doritis pulcherrima. I bought this some years ago not knowing it wasn't a legitimate cross registered with the RHS. Although it's pretty, it has no real value to the serous orchid collector since it has no traceable pedigree. It's my opinion, Twyford simply took an existing cross made years earlier and registered it with he U.S. Patent Office. One may use it to make seedling crosses, but they would have no value; asexual reproduction (cloning or stem propagation) isn't permitted, either, but why bother? I can't see any economic benefit other than a minor one that has been realized by this move.
