Album Info:

Once I have drawn a pattern for applique, I sometimes have to enlarge it to the size I want. In this case, I drew it large enough. Once the master copy is made, I trace a working master copy and also a reverse copy on freezer paper. All copies have been marked as to what pieces are turned under and what part might fit under a previous piece. A 'legend' regarding fabric is also printed on the working master and these references are transferred to the actual applique pieces on both the working master and the reverse freezer paper copy. I use a portable design board made of styrofoam insulation (blue board)so I can pin each fabric piece in place before the hand layered applique process.
