Likely 3 years or so from seed. Said to be a large species when mature. Should be able to tolerate temps slightly below freezing if sheltered. Has a "tillering heel" which both grows laterally, and downward into the soil, making the seedling plant seem to move slightly.

That is definitely not Dypsis prestoniana. It looks like a Dypsis carlsmithii. I don't mean to be a but, but just thought you should know.
