This is the head with valves removed. Notice the cooling galley at the bottom left...they're partly blocked by cast iron 'flash'. The ones on the right are about 80% blocked by the same stuff. It broke out easily with a punch and hammer. Lister 'could' have made a smiley face instead of that tragic look!!
