Zena Dare (real name Florence Hariette Zena Dones) was born London 4 Feb 1887 & died 11 Mar 1975. Zena & younger sister Phyllis made their 1st stage appearances as children. The girls 1st appeared on the Coronet Theatre stage in ‘Babes in the Woods'1899. During her very successful career Zena performed at the following theatres: Shakespeare, Prince of Wales’s, Vaudeville, Aldwych, Coliseum, Hippodrome, Playhouse, Haymarket, Globe, Ambassadors, Scala, etc. Zena retired in 1965.
