I use two empty stacked kegs to use as a base to curve my shields around. You can also use a tree or other such round item. You can do without this but it's harder and may require another person to help start the curve. *Some people use a press or rack for this step but thats a pain in the ##### to make and doesn not allow for much depth in your curve.
