This photo offers a closeup of the chess pieces in this wonderfully unique porcelain set. Queens are taller than kings but no more colorful. The sea shell reproductions are near life-size and require a board with at least 2" squares for comfortable play. However, I have not used this set for play as yet because I I don't wish to find out pieces are too fragile to stand being knocked over accidently. By the way, "N" indicates the Knight on the photo.
