Here is a picture of the ironing board top that my husband made for me. It sits on top of my ironing board. I bought the fabric for the cover at Hancocks of Paducah, online, and stapled it onto the backside with very light cotton batting. That is a fat quarter of fabric on top of it. Notice my iron sitting in the little cage on the side where it cannot fall off! I found that in Clotilde's catalog of sewing items.
