This colorwash Irish chain was made by Mary Martin. She sewed the two parts together for quilting, but it is meant to be separated at the white section of fabric. It is quilted with Norma Sharpes Square feathers in the centers of the blocks. The chains are quilted with a freehand serpantine stitch and the borders are freehand feathers.
