Using photos I sent of our family's annual jelly making ritual, Alice McElhiney made beautiful Concord grapes, a pot of jelly, a straining bag, little jars of jelly with wax tops, and even a tiny Certo bottle for this scene. Jelly has been made from this grape vine every year since 1911 when my grandparents bought the house my mother was born in and still lives in.
