EC 6 was one of eight AEC Reliance 590s with C49F Duple (Midlands) coach bodies operated by LT on behalf of British European Airways on the innovative 'Executive Express' service which transferred passengers the West London Air Terminal in Cromwell Road, South Kensington, direct to the aircraft on the apron (hence the roof beacon). The service had started in August 1965 using eight ex Green Line RFs (290-297) until the new Reliances were delivered in July 1966. Seen near the old bus station a
