This is AEC Reliance 2MU3RA/Plaxton C41F 129 DPT new to Howes of Spennymoor in 1959 it passed with the business to OK Motor Services of Bishop Auckland. Owned by the 129 Preservation Group of Sunderland it is seen here at Gateshead Metrocentre Rally on May 29th 2000. Photo by Paul Fuller.

  • I have owned 129 DPT since March 2003. Stricly speaking the coach was always operated by OK Motor Services as from 1928 Howes had operated a joint srvice with Emmerson of Evenwood under the title OK Motor Services. It was subsequent to the formation of 'OK Motor Services Ltd' that Howes, along with many other local independents, was absorbed by the limited company. John Boston

  • hi john do you no who rescued 129 from the scrapheap as that is were it was going in the early 80s as kirkby kings forth of maltby yorkshire sold it on do you no who to also were are you based thanks alot for the information it is appreciated
