After sale by LT the former RM66 was converted to a single deck "recovery tender" in 1987 (following the tradition of London double deckers being cut down for use as service vehicles). The conversion was a very professional job, but was the vehicle ever used for its intended purpose? Photographed by Richard Haughey at North Weald a few years ago .
