Album Info:
The first four 30' Routemasters, 880, 881, 882 and 883, were delivered in 1961 bearing the bonnet code ER (Extended Routemaster). All were recoded RML before entering service on route 104 from Finchley Garage. In a two-pronged commemoration during 1989 London United repainted RML880 into the old London United Tramways livery and reinstated the original fleet number ER880. It was hoped the original AEC AV590 could be retained but a Cummins engine replaced it. Richard Haughey, Alton 1999.
