Album Info:
This is the ruins of a Railroad stop on the trip from New Orleans to Mobile, which was built in the early 1920's. It was destroyed by a Hurricane in 1929. This Lodge offered many comforts for the weary business man or travelor, including a swimming pool, casino, and bordello. It is only accessible by boat or train, and is located near the tressel # 22 (?) at the mouth of the Pearl River.

We found some pictures of Baldwin Lodge when it was in use at http://louisdl.louislibraries.org/cdm4/results.php?CISOOP1=any&CISOFIELD1=CISOSEARCHALL&CISOROOT=/JNT&CISOBOX1=home&CISOSORT=title%7Cf&CISOSTART=1,1 It was apparently a place for the Baldwin Family to get away from the City. The Baldwin family home was at Esplanade Avenue and North Derbigny Street in New Orleans.
